Part Time Dairy/Frozen
POSITION TITLE: FROZEN FOOD AND DAIRY STOCKER
ACCOUNTABLE TO: Frozen Food and Dairy Manager
PRIMARY OBJECTIVE
To provide stocking support for the Frozen Food and Dairy Department
NATURE AND SCOPE
Primary emphasis in this position is on stocking, load cutting and sorting, and display building in order to ensure maximum product availability and department sales. Primary learning challenge is product location and acquiring necessary production speed in cutting, sorting and stocking. This position requires ongoing judgement/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction, reading, moderate to heavy lifting, walking, operation of pallet jack, use of box cutter and exposure to cold temperatures. Position functions and hours may vary according to business needs. Assignments and work direction provided by Frozen Food and Dairy Manager or person in charge.
ESSENTIAL POSITION FUNCTIONS
1. Receives, sorts and stocks frozen food and dairy products.
· Unloads product off truck
· Monitors and verifies load and signs invoice, locks receiving area.
· Sorts and stocks product
· Ensures proper rotation, facing and product handling, load limits, placement, and cutting.
· Handles over stock
· Monitors proper temperatures for cases and coolers.
· Is aware of reasonable productivity expectation.
Functional Requirements
Frequent: Physical - Lifting 36 to 60 lbs., lifting/carrying 15 to 30lbs., pushing/pulling 900 to 2200 lbs., kneeling, squatting, turning, reaching, stooping/bending, equipment operation (hand jack, power jack, box cutter, flat bed); Mental - Judgement/decision making, memorization, and reading.
Occasional: Physical – Crawling, climbing ladders, walking on uneven ground; Mental – math, writing.
2. Performs display preparation and upkeep
· Prepares location according to instruction and cuts, stocks and faces display products
· Restocks, rotates and faces display products
Functional Requirements
Frequent: Physical – Lifting/carrying 15 to 30 lbs., pushing pulling 900 to 2200 lbs., reaching, turning, kneeling, squatting; Mental – judgement/decision making, reading.
Occasional: Mental – writing, math
3. Performs ongoing clean up of sales floor and back room
· Performs general aisle clean up immediately, compacts cardboard, stacks pallets, cleans up spills.
· Utilizes protective devices (jacket, thermal gloves, hat) as instructed.

Frequent: Physical - Equipment operation (compactor, broom, mop, intercom system), walking, stooping/bending, squatting, reaching; Mental – judgement/decision making, social skills/verbal interaction.
Occasional: Physical – Lifting 50 to 70 lbs.
4. Assist cashiers with product replacement and price checks, assist customers with information and product locations.
· Answers and responds to department phone calls

5. Follows all store and department policies and procedures
