Position: Key Account Analyst
Job Type: Full Time
Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:30 am - 5:00 pm
Language Requirements: English
Working Conditions: Hybrid
Location: Incumbent is based out of our Vaughan, ON office
Purpose:
Provides administrative and analytical support for Customer Business Team which includes Key Account Managers and Director of Sales regarding category management functions, promotional execution, innovation detailing and customer deduction tracking. Communicates promotions to key customer contacts using format they require and maintains up to date information for each customer. Develops appropriate customer relations, promotional materials, and key data integrity in order to support the overall functions of the account team.
Responsibilities:
- Work with Key Account Managers as well as brokers, vendors, customer associates to establish annual promotions and execution strategies.
- Coordinates the administrative implementation and communication of new product listings, discontinued products and pack size changes, including filling out customer forms and/or online portal entry.
- Maintains authorized listing base materials including adding and deleting products or information as necessary.
- Trouble shoots pricing discrepancies as well as identifying and resolving technical requirements of the customer.
- Provide paperwork with all appropriate back up to UNFI Business Analysis Department and/or Accounting Department for account deductions.
- Prepares regular business review presentations which includes running a variety of reports for completion or as requested, including Category Ranking, POS sales, and comparative sales reports.
- Collaborates with Key Account Manager to follow up on exception reports generated with each order, including resolving issues around ordered products that are discontinued, Not Authorized, Not on Bid, Invalid UPC, etc.
- Works to review price changes or updates as necessary including communicating to Pricing Team for execution.
- Coordinates and communicates holiday closures and updated schedules to corresponding customer team for proper planning.
- Develops and updates scorecard reporting as identified through strategic planning with Key Account Managers and Director of Sales.
- Prepares and works through customer-specific project work or ad hoc assignments and requests as required.
- Actively participates in team meetings and discussions.
- Performs other duties as required
Qualifications:
Education/Certification:
- Post-Secondary education or equivalent related experience preferred.
Required Knowledge:
- Knowledge of products, marketing and sales practices & policies, as well as the ability to coordinate promotional activities and special events.
- Understanding of how to generate customer reports.
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Powerpoint required to generate reports and sales presentations
Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to communicate and work well and effectively with others in a team environment.
- Excellent attention to detail and ability to evaluate data and make recommendations
- Ability to research and verify sales information
- Strong knowledge in Microsoft Office applications (including Excel, Powerpoint, and Word)
- Neat, well organized, and able to meet deadlines
